Architectural Photography

I think all the photos this week turned out so cool. This one is a house or something like that but it was right above a parking lot so I cropped out all the cars, even though it's not the full building i think the focus is still on it. I put a warmer filter on this picture.

This picture is lowkey a silhouette of the building which I kinda like because you can really see the structure of the building 

One the last one I think the sky looks amazing and the contrast of the building just adds to everything. I really like this picture.

MicroPhotography

This is my first picture for close-up photography, it's a dandelion
and I really like the colors. I used the rule of thirds and put the main
focus in the bottom right corner. This picture is kinda different from the
other two because there is a lot of light in this one and the
others are darker.

My next picture I put a reddish filter on using photoshop and I think it came out
pretty good. I also cropped it so it looked closer than it actually was. 

I like my last picture because of all the shadows and that its
basically just one color but it still has dimension.

Sports

The first picture of sports is this person riding a bike. I think it's a pretty cool picture, I like the background and that it's kinda following the rule of thirds. It's not really edited but I feel like it didn't need much to be a good picture.

This picture isn't a person doing sports but it still has something to do with a sport. I like colors in the picture I think the sky with all the clouds looks really cool. I did that by adding more more saturation and contrast.

The last picture isn't really the best but it's just of a person walking around the track, which is exercise so it kinda counts. Anyway I added less brightness and more contrast for this one. 

Real Birds

The first picture is of this bird that I took in Santa Fe, I cropped it to use
the rule of thirds. Other than that I really didn't edit it much so you can see all the
shadows which I like anyway

I really like this picture because it's like a silhouette of a bird. I also like that the sky is kinda cloudy so it adds to the mmld of the picture. 

The last picture is also a silhouette, but this one is of a bird in a tree and I think it looks really cool. I edited it so you could see the greens but that they were still a bit dark.

NIGHT

This weeks blog is all about night as a concept and to me that means light and dark contrasting. The first one is of these Christmas lights and I like that it's out of focus and its contrast.

The next picture I really like. I edited it so that the background would be all black and the only color would be the candle. It's defiantly my favorite on of this blog.

Another part of night is the sunsets that bring the light into the dark. This is what this one is. It's not the most colorful sunset buts it's still really pretty.

Photo Quizzes

On the first quiz I took I'm not exactly sure what my score was but it says I'm a photography pro so I'm going to take that as a good thing. On the second quiz I got 18/22. A lot of the stuff on the quiz i already knew but I learned that every camera is different and therefore every picture is going to be different.

Lonely Tree

All the pictures for this blog are in black and white because 'lonely tree' just sounds really sad so I felt like they all should be black and white. So that's what I did I made all the pictures for this blog black and white and I love the aesthetic of it.

I like this picture because the tree's branches go in so many directions and I think it just adds to the aesthetic of it. Aside from making it black and white I put the most contrast on this picture out of all three.
On the last one I made it black and white again and brought out the shadows of it.

Light

The first one is my least favorite out of all three pictures but I still think its pretty cool. I did put a black and white filter on it but honestly it didn't really need one because it was already pretty much black and white.

I really like how this photo turned out with the sun in the background and the light colored butterfly thing, it just reminds me of light. For this picture I brightened up the whole thing because it was a bit dark at the beginning. 

This is my favorite picture from this blog. I just love the candle with the Christmas lights in the background. It is light. 

People Hard At Work

The first picture is my favorite of all three and it's just a person working at a computer. It was already dark in the room besides the computer screen so I edited it so it literally the only light coming off was from the computer and the door. I think it turned out really cool.

The next picture is of people hard at work doing sports and stuff. I like that the sky is kinda ombre I think I just added more saturation and it did that.

The last one is kind of the same as the one above but what I like about this one is that it's through the fence which I think looks kinda cool.

Transportation

The first photo I really like because I think the sunset in the background is pretty and it also goes well with the theme of cars. For this picture I added more contrast between the background and foreground. 

The next 2 photos are both black and white because they were taken on kind of a cold day and it just felt like they should be. I think they feel a bit moody but I like it.

On this last picture and the one above I put on a black and white filter and added lots of contrast between the darks and lights.

Personification Of Inanimate Objects

The first picture is personification because it's a wall with a face. I made it darker so that there would be more emphasis on the face.

This picture is of a table, I just find it really adorable. I like that it has value, being dark at the bottom and then getting lighter toward the top.

The last one is my favorite picture because I think it fits the personification of inanimate objects more, you just have to imagine that the windows are eyes. 

At first this picture was a little light so I added more contrast and I like how it turned out.

Performing Arts

 Yesterday we had a Shakespeare showcase in my drama 2 class and since the theme of this week is performing arts I thought it would be good to take pictures of some of the performances. 

The first picture is of someone performing a monologue. I tried to mess with the lighting so he wasn't so washed out and I think it worked a little bit.

           The next picture is a scene and I did the same thing as the picture above so they didn't look washed out and I think it worked better on the one, I also added more saturation to add more color.

 The last one is my favorite because I think it has the best lighting.

Hats/Headgear

For the first photo I really wasn't even trying to focus on the hat but I just kind of happened like that. I put on more contrast so you could tell what was his hair and what was the beanie.

On this picture I liked it best with the black and white filter. I put more contrast to show the value between the left side and the right side.

On the last on it came out a bit blurry but I kinda like it because it shows the movement. And I really wanted to put emphasis on the color of the flower crown so I did that.

Food

The first picture makes me crave fries everytime I look at it so I think it looks pretty good. I added more contrast and more saturation.

The next photo I added more exposure because the lighting wasn't the best. I also added more contrast and brightness. I like this picture because I like the contrast of the kisses and the foil.

So doing this made me realize how often I have fries, that's probably not the best but at least it makes for good pictures. 

On this picture i added more saturation and less contrast so it looked lighter.

Technology Outside of the Classroom

On this first picture I added a lot more saturation and lowered the contrast. I also added more light. This picture is technology because someone had to come up with the idea for a car and its something that is suppose to make our lives easier.

The next picture I added much more contrast and more saturation. Lights are under technology because they make life eaiser for us. I like the contrast between the lights and the wall.

On the last photo I added a bit more contrast so the keys were darker and the laptop was lighter. Its technology because someone invented it to help people.

The first picture I added more contrast and more exposure to make it look a little brighter. I like this picture because all the shoes are so different but everyone still hangs out together and I just like it.

I never really expected to use either of the photos above on my blog so my purpose while taking them was really just to capture a moment in time.
